When connecting a new drill pipe stand — typically a 2–5 minute dead stop — conventional drilling halts mud circulation. This pressure fluctuation can cause wellbore instability, lost circulation, or influx in narrow pressure-window formations. 在接单根过程中(通常需要2至5分钟),常规钻井必须停止钻井液循环,这种压力波动可能在窄压力窗口地层中引发井壁失稳、漏失或溢流。

FECCS eliminates this dead stop entirely. Our valve-type continuous circulation joint maintains full mud flow through every connection — keeping ECD stable within 0.036 g/cm³ fluctuation across the entire drilling program.
