Renamed Shenzhen Far East Oil Drilling Engineering Ltd. (FEODE). The same year, completed China's first-ever deepwater well abandonment service — breaking the foreign monopoly on this critical capability. 更名为深圳市远东石油钻采工程有限公司（FEODE）。同年完成中国首次深水弃井作业，打破外国垄断。
